VACATION

 It’s fun to be crazy sometimes, with the hectic work schedule we have, hardly we get any time for recreation. But finally, it was my vacation. I woke up at 5am in the morning and surprised to see my better half already awake and excited for the trip. I was overwhelmed to see the smile on her face which is my happy dose for the day. We both got freshened up and packed our bags. Our journey was planned by road so that we can enjoy the nature to its fullest. It was around 7 am and we travelling alongside complete greenery when our first sight fell on the sea from where the sun was rising and it was as beautiful as a ray of hope, where we halted to view that scene.

                           

      Ahead of us was a small stall and we went over there to have our early breakfast as our stomach was appealing us by the smell coming from that stall. After that we took off to a resort where we have planned a lot of activities to do. As soon as we entered our room ( it was actually a suite) I went over the balcony and opened the window curtain, we both were so pleased by the view which was a beachside and cool sea breeze was gently touching us.

                                                                                                                                       It was around 10 am and we took rest for a while and took off at 11am to our guide and arena, where we enjoyed doing water sports like scuba diving, sailing, snorkeling, jet flyer. we both had a beautiful experience together as this vacation was a must need for us both to take a break from work. After these sports, we returned back to our resort around 2pm to have our lunch which contained all the latest cuisines and was a delight to the taste buds. Surprisingly I was receiving a call from my vice president of the company In which I was working, I was a bit perplexed because I had planned for this leave very long back, but to my surprise it was good news that I was promoted to the head of finance department. I was totally overwhelmed by that news because I was waiting for that since last year and I finally felt that my hard work has paid off. On that point my wife ordered a dessert of my favorite choice to celebrate that moment.

                                                           

                      With a wide smile on both our faces  we went for a hot air balloon ride to an island nearby and we reached by 4 where we took a cycle ride to our destination from where we have planned to go for a small trek on a mountain. we were a bit afraid looking at it first, but it was a challenge between both of us to do something adventurous. Looking at each other into the eyes we finally made it to the top where we were shouting like kids and enjoying every moment. We sat on the mountain and looking at the sunset and praying like this moment should freeze like that.

                 

       Practically it’s not possible (pun intended) , we came down around 7 and had a walk along beachside  where we were discussing our future plans about bringing a new person into the family.

As it was getting dark, we took a boat back to our resort, freshened up and straightened our back for a while, looking at the clock it was 11:30 and I had a surprise planned for her as it was her birthday the next day. I blindfolded her and took her to the bioluminescent beachside where I have arranged a candle light dinner and cake to celebrate her birthday and our first anniversary. She was startled by the arrangements I have made, she hugged me and tears rolled out of her eyes.

                                                                          

  She cut her cake and we were having our dinner when we received a call from our parents, they we excited to see us spending a quality time together and they wished both of us for our anniversary and special mention to her birthday. We were wishing that this day should not end but we were very tired, so we went back to our resort and called it a day by praying to god for all the good things he has given to us.
